Feel free to contact me with any remarks or questions. Kind regards, Rita Liebrand

The Alaskan Malamute is one of the most people friendly dogs I've ever come across, they love their humans so much that there is no room for anything else anymore. Hence their intolerance to other species, whatever that may be, of course there are exceptions, but I haven't seen to many of those around. It doesn't qualify as a guard dog, its goal in life is to be with his companion, don't flatter yourself about being the master, your not. Sure, they will listen to you, when they feel like it, but when you want something done from a Malamute, you better ask nicely if you want fast results.

They originated with a group of native Innuits known as the Mahlemut. Good thing they didn't have any furniture or remote controls back in those days, or there wouldn't be a Malamute around, they tend to demolish and check if something is worthwhile to chew on until they're old and grey. The dogs of that time were large freighting dogs, capable of pulling heavy loads in extreme conditions. The Mahlemut people mainly inhabited the upper part of Alaska, but were spread over a large region. The Malamute was used to haul food and supplies back to the village in all weather conditions, across vast distances.

Our love for this wonderfull breed began a long time ago, but we got our first young Malamute in 2000, a 10 week old little wonder named 'Vegas' or as he is officially known as Multiple BOS/BOB/BIG,JW2001 Netherlands ChampionWindchaser's Lucky in Vegas. Bred by Andrea and Lynda St. Jhourre. He turned out to be a talent in the showring, got his first title(JW01) at the prestigious Winner exibition in Amsterdam only 13 months old, his first group win in Maastricht (BIG), multiple Best of Opposite Sex and Best of Breed and he finished his Netherlands championship in 2003.

His father 'Ch.Windchaser's The Seventh Son' (Seven) joined him here in the Netherlands, looking for a place to retire after his carreer in the United States where he was Specialty Winner in Las Vegas at only 9 Months and of course he finished his Championship in 14 months. But he is also a showdog and every now and then he goes out and shows himself, in 2004 he was at the 2004 Malamute Specialty where he became the best Male, at the age of nine and to show the youngsters how its done he turned up at the prestigious Dortmund Bundessieger show, where he became Best of Breed at just 9 and a half years young, together with 'Windchaser's Like Father Like Son' (Junior)who joined our team early 2004, these are our boy's. Junior is also well on his way to getting his Dutch Championship title. You can see the pedigrees and pictures of these guy's on this site.

Our girl team is led by Ch.Testarossa Del Lago Degli Orsi, an italian lady with the attitude to prove it. Daughter of famous Ch. Storm Kloud's Can't Catch Me, she turned out to be a showtalent as her mother, and she finished her championship with plenty points to spare. Our second dame is Windchaser's Rising Phoenix , daughter of Ch. Windchaser's Canadian Hunter and Ch. Staghorn's S-Keemo Breeze, an exeptional lady with tremendous type and posture, then there is our litllest wonder Imokam's FortunaStormchaser who came to us thanks to Ana Herrera of IMOKAM kennels.

Daughter of the famous Ch.Snowy River Best of Sno-Ridge and Imokam Alaska, they make up a team of extraordinary bloodlines, heritage and stamina. Thanks to Lynda and Andrea ste. Jhourre of windchaser kennels, Gloria Urbani of Lago Degli Orsi and Ana Herrera of Imokam we feel that we have the perfect base for our breeding program of Stormchaser's Champions and Companions Alaskan Malamutes for many years to come.We aim to breed with these wonderful creatures in the future so check the news section if you're in the neighbourhood. The showpages will be updated frequently as well.
